Terms & Conditions

How enquiries, project proposals and commissioned design work are handled.

Last updated: 2 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and enquiries about Black Cat Studio’s CAD drafting, 3D modelling, mechanical design, BIM and related technical design services. A project-specific written proposal may set out additional or different terms; where they conflict, the agreed proposal takes priority for that project.

2. Enquiries and quotes

Sending a form or contacting the studio does not commit you to a purchase or create a service contract. A quote is based on the information you provide and may change if the scope or source material changes. Work begins only after the scope, deliverables, timeline and price are agreed in writing. Any payment schedule will be stated in that agreement.

3. Your materials and instructions

Please provide accurate dimensions, specifications, reference files and any requirements that affect the work. You confirm that you have the right to share the materials you send and to authorise their use for the requested project. The studio may ask for clarification where information is incomplete or inconsistent. Changes to the agreed scope may require a revised quote or delivery date.

4. Deliverables and review

The agreed proposal defines the files, formats and review stages included. Please review draft work and report any errors or requested revisions promptly. Revisions within the agreed scope are handled as described in the proposal; new requirements may be quoted separately. Delivery timing depends on receiving the necessary information and feedback.

5. Technical responsibility

Drawings and models are prepared against the brief and information supplied. Unless expressly agreed in writing, the studio does not provide site surveys, structural certification, regulatory approval or professional sign-off. You remain responsible for checking that deliverables suit their intended use and for obtaining any required approvals before manufacture or construction.

6. Ownership and confidentiality

You retain ownership of the materials you supply. Ownership or licence terms for the finished deliverables should be confirmed in the project agreement. Your non-public project information is treated as confidential; an NDA can be agreed on request. The studio’s website content and branding may not be reused without permission.

7. Cancellations and concerns

If you need to cancel or have concerns about work in progress, contact the studio as soon as possible. The treatment of completed work, deposits and any refund is described in the Refund Policy and your project agreement. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Website and changes

Portfolio examples are illustrative; results vary by project. The website and these terms may be updated from time to time. If you have commissioned work, the terms agreed for that project remain the reference for that engagement unless both parties agree otherwise.
